If you are a keen skier who only stops when the sun sets you will not notice and this is therefore a kind of a hotel for you. The sets are just 14inch, old fashion boxes. Never mind, there are only Italian channels. Over the years nothing seems to have ever changed there, except for growing older and shabbier. And it will come at a very competitive price. If you want to taste some of local flavors, this is a place for you. Why should they? It is a typical Italian albergo(hotel) predominantly geared to local, less affluent clientele, who often come in big family groups and in coaches. Staff is also very helpful but with the exception of the head waitress (Garo) speak limited English( it prompted me to learn some Italian). His primi piatti are fantastic and secondi or dolce very often exquisite as well. Another strong and truly unique point is Hotel cuisine prepared by Giuseppe Ceci, who is a STAR. There is also a decent size swimming pool but over the years we felt less and less energetic to use it “apre ski”. Two minutes in ski boots perhaps? Hotel lobby, bar, restaurant are very spacious, if their décor goes back to early 80’s. Another strong point is that it is very, very close to Folgarida cable car. Yet the price it offers allowed us to have two rooms: for ourselves and a separate one for our son for a very modest price instead of having one family room with all discomfort that comes with it. Make no mistake, it is a tourist, no frills hotel. I have been coming to this hotel again and again for many, many years.
